9 Pravda, February 2, 1955. The only other reference to Khrushchev in connection with the Stalingrad battle was found in an article in Voprosy istorìi, No. 5, May 1950, written by A. Samsonov. The author, writing in the prevailing Stalin-oriented manner, stressed that the Stalingrad counteroffensive was worked out by the Stavka and that the battle was unequaled in the history of wars.
